These days, evenings seem to be getting longer, mornings are brighter and more bearable, the people on your morning commute seem a little chirpier and, wait, is that a ray of sunshine we see sneaking through?! Ah yes, this can only mean one thing – summer is in the air!

Extensive research, (or just what we’ve come to note here at EZ HQ) shows that even for those self-professed ‘winter people’ summer has a certain irresistible magic about it. It brings with it a sense of giddiness and freshness that makes us want to add a pinch of fun and colour to just about every part of our lives. For many of us, we like to see this reflected in our environment, which is why we feel so compelled to indulge in a little home pick-me-up when the sunny season rolls around.

Because our buyers were also struck with summer fever, we have recently been stocking up on everything bright, breezy, and full of fun! One of our favourite ways to incorporate seasonal style at minimal cost and effort is by picking up some accessories and smaller furnishings that give your space that instant ‘umph’.

When it comes to cushions and throw pillows, we can’t get enough! Not only are they a simple way of adding colour and texture to your sofa assortment or outdoor seating arrangement, but they also add an extra layer of inviting comfort and a polished style to your home. We adore the sleekness of a glossy wooden floor here at EZ Living, but sometimes they just need a little warming up. In our many years working with interiors we’ve found that there is nothing quite like a gorgeously plush rug to complete a room and to create a cosy and welcoming atmosphere in even the most minimalist of spaces. The true beauty of incorporating a rug into your space is that you can choose how loud/subtle you want to be with colours/patters depending on the season and transform your whole area as often as you please!

We are all about incorporating vibrant pops of citrus hues against a neutral pallet to create a kitchen or dining area that you will love to host in all summer long.
