We recently had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with Vicki Faller, the heart and creative mind behind the beautiful Elibank House. Over the past few years, Vicki and her family have lovingly transformed their home into a space that blends timeless design with modern functionality. In our latest collaboration, Vicki helped curate a garden collection featuring her favourite outdoor pieces from EZ Living Interiors. But what really stood out during our chat was the thoughtful approach she brings to every inch of her home, from kitchen to garden.

Designing for Life, Not Just for Looks

"We have three little energetic youngsters, and my husband and I work full time," Vicki shares. "So our house, the whole way through the design process, was based on the fact it has to work for us and that busy lifestyle we lead. In the morning it has to facilitate us getting out that door. But equally, when you come home in the evening, it's like your giant big hug."

This ethos of function meeting feeling is evident throughout Elibank House. The home isn’t just a place to live, it’s a sanctuary designed to hold both the chaos of morning routines and the calm of winding down.

The Kitchen Altar

If the kitchen is the heart of the home, Elibank House beats strong.

"The island, or the altar, as my husband always calls it - that is definitely the hub," says Vicki. "The kids come down, eat breakfast, do their homework, everything. And being able to throw open the doors and bring the garden inside has just been more incredible than we ever could have imagined."

It's this fluidity between indoor and outdoor living that made Vicki the perfect partner for our garden collection.

Extending the Indoors Out

"The overhangs allow us to sit out and have a cup of tea, even if it’s raining... it’s a wonderful extension of our kitchen, the most usable, used area of our home."

Whether it’s with a morning coffee or an evening whiskey, Vicki has created an outdoor space that feels just as comforting and lived-in as the inside.

From House to Home

"You have a house... It’s over the last few years we’ve been making it a home. And that’s been really, really important to us."

One of the most touching aspects of Vicki’s approach is how deeply personal her home is. Art from her mother-in-law, memories tied to pieces from past renovations, and even a time capsule under the stairs all add to the sense of story within the walls of Elibank House.
